Lead Cabinet Maker (Full-Time) – Brooklyn, NY
Cabinet Maker NYC Inc. is hiring a Lead Cabinet Maker for high-end residential custom cabinetry and architectural millwork (primarily Manhattan + Brooklyn). This is a hands-on role for someone who can build, lead, and keep production moving to premium standards.
Pay
- $47/hour starting (W-2)
- Full-time, steady work
- Performance review after 30–90 days based on reliability, quality, and output

- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday (hours discussed during interview)
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop production and assign tasks to cabinet makers and helpers
- Build high-skill work personally (veneers, curved work, custom details, prototypes/mockups)
- Maintain quality control at key stages: machining, assembly, pre-finish
- Read and execute from shop drawings; flag missing details and solve constructability issues
- Manage shop workflow: cut → edge band → assembly → sanding → finishing → staging
- Coordinate with drafting/PM/installation so jobs ship complete and on schedule
- Maintain clean, organized workstations; protect finished parts and hardware
Requirements
- Proven experience in high-end cabinet making / millwork
- Strong shop skills and clean execution (fit, reveals, alignment, finish readiness)
- Able to work independently and lead a small team without supervision
- Reliable attendance and professional attitude
- Comfortable reading shop drawings and coordinating details
